I have to be honest......by Stakes day the wheels were beginning to come off the wagon. To be more specific, my 30hr Dj week was beginning to catch up with me and my feet were in a hideous state from my insistance on wearing incredibly high and impractical stiletto's all week. So...donning my fav leopard print leggings (much to VRC dress standard's annoyance), a pair of sensible flats and some serious "Tranny-esque Makeup", I headed back to Flemmington with the always stylish Husband in tow. Any tiredness I might have felt instantly melted away as we entered the glamour of The Birdcage for the last day of Spring Racing Carnival.
Stakes Day is traditionally known as family day and the vibe in the Birdcage was far more subdued with many more familiar faces (Kardashian's included) opting to miss the last day of racing. Given things were fairly quiet, Selekt and I had a wander around before my morning set and snapped a few of the more lavish marquees.
Kudo's must go to the Swisse tent who although loosing their star guest for the day aka Kim Kardashian, still managed to have a pumping tent and add a little humor to the situation with a life size cut out of the reality star at the entrance to welcome guests.
Back at my base, The Fruche tent, Stakes Day saw a few more gorgeous competition winners wander through along with many of the staff and corporates who had made the week such a success.

It was time to party and a lovely way to farewell my week with everyone involved.
Huge Thankyou to Style Counsel, Fruche, Miss J for being oh so fab and keeping us all smiling, and a special thankyou to the bar and catering crew....you boys rocked and made my job so much easier!!!!And of course, Thankyou to my Best Friend, Husband and Manager. Takes someone special to keep me motivated, organized and whose happy to run out in the middle of the night to buy bath salts just so i can get my legs back on high heels to perform the next day....... love you xx
